When you use GearForge, we collect information you provide directly:
- Battle.net account information (Battle Tag, account ID) when you log in
- Housing designs, screenshots, and import strings you upload
- Your likes, saves, and other interactions with content
We also automatically collect:
- Usage data (pages visited, features used)
- Device information (browser type, operating system)
- IP address for security and fraud prevention
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve our services
- To display your creations to other users
- To personalize your experience
- To communicate with you about your account
- To ensure security and prevent abuse
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With your consent
- To comply with legal obligations
- To protect our rights and prevent fraud
- With service providers who help operate our platform
Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information. However, no internet transmission is completely secure.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data through your account settings
- Export your data using the “Download Data” feature in settings
- Delete your account and all associated data at any time
- Disconnect third-party services (YouTube, Twitch, Kick) from your account
When you delete your account, we permanently remove your profile, uploaded designs, likes, saves, and any connected service tokens.
Third-Party Services
We integrate with the following third-party services:
- Blizzard Battle.net: We use Blizzard's OAuth for authentication. We receive your Battle Tag and account ID to create your GearForge account.
- YouTube (Google): If you choose to connect your YouTube account, we access your channel information and video list to let you showcase videos with your designs. We request read-only access and do not modify your YouTube content.
- Twitch: If you choose to connect your Twitch account, we access your basic profile information to display a verified badge and link to your channel on your profile.
- Kick: If you choose to connect your Kick account, we access your basic profile information to display a verified badge and link to your channel on your profile.
You can disconnect any connected service at any time from your account settings. When you disconnect, we delete the associated access tokens.
